那些串聯的音符總是效果非凡感動人心
導演史丹利杜寧之前曾經聽了亨利曼西尼為電影【哈泰利】作的歌曲“ Baby Elephant Walk ”就被深深吸引過，而亨利曼西尼在為【第凡內早餐】"Moon River"配樂時與奧黛麗赫本成為好友，一連串因緣際會成了這三人在電影【謎中謎】誕生時能夠聚在一起的理由。就和"Moon River"和得獎的【相見時難別亦難】的"Days of Wine and Roses"一樣，這首"Charade"曲子在影片之外不同地方都發揮了其他不管是演奏或演唱等各式的美好呈現，令人難忘，儘管那一年奧斯卡他只獲得提名而沒能獲獎，但在隔年，亨利曼西尼就創作出【粉紅頑皮豹】的"The Pink Panther Theme"而確定不朽了。【謎中謎】主題曲我比較喜歡有男女聲樂合唱的版本更勝片頭有意製造出諜報電影氛圍的樂器演奏版本，後來我發現，亨利曼西尼的曲子只要放慢我都喜歡，即使是同一首曲子，效果也是立即看得出來，有時我還會想像他的曲子交由約翰貝瑞表現，一定是加倍的感動人心歷久不衰。
