凱蒂卡倫1944 年時和哈瑞詹姆斯Harry James為哥倫比亞Columbia 唱片公司帶來了兩支百萬金曲，分別是 "I'm Beginning To See The Light"與"It's Been A Long Long Time"。其後人紅單飛迎向更廣大的舞台，灌錄了"Little Things Mean A Lot"並於 1954 年發行，當時熱賣一百萬張並蟬連排行榜冠軍長達九週同時也登上英國金榜冠軍，緊接著發行的"In The Chapel In The Moonlight"同樣也是百萬銷售單曲。她的歌聲溫暖悅耳讓人忍不住重複地聽一再地聽不小心就聽了一輩子，一開始也會和海倫佛斯特Helen Forrest的聲音混淆，仔細聆聽就會發現，她的比較溫暖，後者的比較艷麗......好聽★★★★★
