要命好聽的這首歌我還記得是在我要當兵前的幾年整天重複聽不厭的，當時不知道羅尼米爾薩普的版本其實是一首翻唱二十多年前的老歌，更不知道它的作曲者是電影【虎豹小霸王】鼎鼎大名的勃特巴卡拉克，只知道這首歌講的就是從現在開始的每一天，比悲傷還要悲傷故事的每一天。這首歌最早是1962年面世，節奏曲調是偏黑人靈魂，後來貓王也唱過，是偏搖滾輕快少了些哀愁，直到1982年這個版本出現才定於一尊，就是要這樣唱才有味道，加上唱者本身是一位盲人，更把看不見天日的絕望寫實地呼喊出來，那種日復一日的從現在開始的每一天只要一想到就會頭皮發麻，掉到沮喪的深淵萬念俱灰，兩個人從說好在一起卻到最後分開，那種這世上最綿綿無絕期的空白，任何人只要獨忍傷悲一直還活到現在，上蒼一定已經教會了他此生已經無法重來。
